BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, ENTRANT AGREES TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

 

1. SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR: The Walt Disney Company (Canada) Ltd, 200 Front St. West, Toronto, ON Canada, M5V 3L4, 29th Floor (“Sponsor”); Simon Pure Marketing, 515A Pape Avenue, Toronto, ON Canada, M4M 2R6 (“Administrator”).

 

2. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for this contest (“Contest”), at the time of entering you must be: [a] at least 18 years of age or older or the age of majority in your province of primary residence (whichever is older); and [b] a legal resident of, and physically located in, Canada (excluding Quebec) (collectively, “Territory”). Entrants cannot be employees of Sponsor, Administrator, its parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies, or of the advertising, promotional or fulfillment agencies of any of them (individually and collectively, “Entities”), or members of their respective households (defined as people who share the same residence at least three (3) months a year, whether related or not) or immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, step-parents, step-children, step-siblings and their spouses). Void where prohibited and subject to all applicable federal, provincial, local and municipal laws and regulations.

 

3. ENTRY: This Contest will begin on July 11, 2025 starting on or about 11:59am and ending on July 20, 2025 at 11:59pm (“Entry Period”). For purposes of these Official Rules (“Rules”), all times and days are Eastern Time. Sponsor’s computer shall be the official timekeeper for all matters related to this Contest.

 

To participate in the Contest, you must visit https://www.disneycanadacontesting.com   and fill out the entry form (each an “Entry” and collectively referred to herein as “Entries”) by providing the following information:

 

(a)           Your first and last name;

(b)           Your email address;

(c)           A response to the following question: What is the name of the character with red hair in Descendants? (the “Question”); and

(d)           Checking the box agreeing to these Rules

 

Your answer to the Question must be correct in order for your Entry to be valid.  Incomplete Entries or Entries with an incorrect response to the Question will be disqualified. 

 

Your Entry must be received during the Entry Period. LIMIT ONE (1) ENTRY PER PERSON. Normal internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service and/or mobile device may apply. 

4.  LIMITATIONS: In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person in whose name the email address associated with the Entry is registered. Entries by any method other than set forth above in Section 3 are void. Any use of automated or programmed methods of effecting entry is prohibited. Neither the Entities nor any of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, or representatives (individually and collectively, “Releasees”) are responsible for Entries from persons residing, or physically located, outside the Territory; or Entries that are altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, forged, fraudulent, improperly accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, interrupted, irregular in any way, late, lost, misrouted, multiple, non-delivered, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized, unintelligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; miscommunications; failed phone, computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions; technical failures; unauthorized human intervention; traffic congestion; garbled or jumbled transmissions; undeliverable emails resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering; insufficient space in entrant’s email account to receive email; or other errors of any kind, whether due to electronic, human, mechanical, printing, production or technical errors or other causes; even if caused by the negligence of any of the Releasees. Each of such potential Entries will be disqualified, and any attempt by a person to use multiple email addresses to enter more than once may result in disqualification at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Proof of submission of Entry does not constitute proof of receipt of same.

 

5. PROCEDURES:  Entries for the Contest will be accepted only during the Entry Period.   On or about July 21, 2025, Administrator will randomly select two (2) potential winners from among all eligible Entries received. Only Entries that contain a correct response to the Question will be considered eligible to be entered into the random drawing. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible Entries received. 

 

6. WINNERS: Each potential winner will be required to answer correctly a time limited mathematical skill testing question (“Skill Testing Question”) without assistance of any kind whether mechanical or otherwise to be declared a winner and be eligible to collect their Prize (as defined in Section 7 below). Sponsor will reach out to each potential winner on or about July 22, 2025 via the email address provided on their Entry (the “Notification”) asking for their full name, date of birth, their residential/mailing address, a response to the Skill Testing Question and the return of any required winner related documents, including without limitation, a declaration and release of liability, if applicable.  In order to be declared a winner, you must meet the eligibility requirements in Section 2 above, respond to Sponsor’s Notification within twenty-four (24) hours after its transmission, give a correct response to the Skill Testing Question and return any and all winner related documents on dates requested by Sponsor (if applicable).   

 

At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: [a] potential winner’s failure to respond to Sponsor’s Notification within twenty-four (24) hours after its transmission; [b] the return of any notification or Prize as undeliverable;  [c] potential winner’s failure to provide Sponsor with satisfactory proof of age, identity and residency; [d] potential winner’s failure to correctly answer the Skill Testing Question (as detailed above); [e] potential winner’s failure to validly claim a Prize no more than twenty-four (24) hours after verifying eligibility; [f] any other non-compliance with these Rules; and [g] potential winner’s failure to return any and all winner related documents on dates requested by Sponsor (if applicable). In the event of a Prize forfeiture, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, award or not award the forfeited Prize to an alternate winner, time permitting.  All taxes are solely the responsibility of each winner.

 

7. PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (“ARV”): There will be two (2) prizes awarded. Each prize consists of four (4) tickets to attend the Descendants Zombies Worlds Collide Tour (the “Event”) taking place on August 16, 2025 in Toronto, Canada (each “Prize” and collectively referred to herein as “Prizes”). ARV of each Prize being awarded: $400.00 CAN. Total ARV of all Prizes being awarded $800.00 CAN.

 

No transportation to the EVENT is included with the Prize. All expenses not specifically mentioned herein are not included and are solely a winner’s responsibility, including but not limited to transportation between a winner’s residence and the EVENT venue and hotel accommodations (and other expenses) that may be associated with attending the EVENT.

 

Prize will be emailed to winner at the email address provided on their Entry.  Prize is not redeemable for cash or transferable. No substitution allowed except, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted.  The Prize will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible Entries are received and Prize is validly claimed no more than twenty-four (24) hours after verifying eligibility after which no alternate winner will be selected and no unclaimed Prize awarded.

 

8.  PRIVACY POLICY/DATA COLLECTION:  Information provided by you for this Contest is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy located at http://disneyprivacycenter.com (“Privacy Policy”). By entering this Contest each entrant: [a] agrees that the Sponsor has the right to contact the entrant through the email address used to enter or the email address provided during winner verification, in order to administer and fulfill this Contest; and [b] consents to the transfer of personal information to the United States for purposes of administration of the Contest and for such other purposes as you may consent.

 

9. CONDITIONS: By entering this Contest and/or accepting any Prize you may win, you agree that: [a] you have all rights, permissions and consents necessary to grant the rights to Sponsor as expressed herein; [b] you will abide by and be bound by these Rules, the Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding, and the Privacy Policy; [c] the Entry becomes solely the Sponsor’s property and will not be acknowledged or returned; [d] you release and hold harmless the Releasees and Meta Platforms, Inc. from any and all liability for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including without limitation death and bodily injury, resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of a Prize; participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity or from any interaction with, or downloading of, computer Contest information; [e] Prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose); [f] winner’s acceptance of a Prize constitutes the grant to Sponsor and assigns of an unconditional right to use his/her, name, address (province only), voice, likeness, photograph, biographical and Prize information and/or statements about the Contest for any programming, publicity, advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law; [g] in the event viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, Acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, national emergency, pandemics, epidemics, accident, fire, riot, strikes, lock-outs, industrial disputes, acts of terrorism or other matters beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, corrupt, prevent or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, so that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to modify the Rules or to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the Contest, except where prohibited by law; and in such event, to select winner(s) by such method as Sponsor in its sole discretion shall consider equitable; [h] the Releasees are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to: human error, errors in the advertising, Rules and selection and announcement of the winner; [i] any portion of the Prize not accepted or used by the winner will be forfeited (if applicable); [j] the Releasees are not responsible for any inability of the winner to accept or use a Prize (or any portion thereof) for any reason; [k] the Sponsor has the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it suspects to be doing any of the following: (i) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest; (ii) violating the Rules; (iii) violating the terms of service, the Privacy Policy or other terms, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Contest property or service; (iv) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or (v) for any other good cause as determined solely by the Sponsor; [l] because any attempt by any individual to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of these Rules as well as criminal and civil laws, in the event Sponsor believes or becomes aware that such an attempt has been, is being, or will be made, it has the right to seek remedies and damages from any responsible individuals to the fullest extent permitted by law, including without limitation criminal prosecution; [m] all disputes, claims and causes of action at law or in equity (individually, “Claim”) arising out of or relating to this Contest, the meaning or interpretation of these Rules or the Prizes awarded shall be resolved by applying the laws of Canada, province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of laws provisions therein, and shall be solely and exclusively brought in the local or federal courts within that province; [n] all Claims shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; [o] all Claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event include attorneys’ fees, and under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and waive all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased; [p] Sponsor has the right to modify Prize award procedures at its sole discretion; [q] the Releasees are not responsible for the cancellation, postponement or unavailability of a Prize, and, if that should  occur, that Prize will be substituted with a prize of equal or greater value, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion; and [r] Releasees are not responsible for any failure of delivery of potential winner notification.
